It was meant to be the traitor orcs ... but times have changed. Now, Gul'dan is the Harbinger of the final invasion of Azeroth at the hands of the Burning Legion.
Born in Draenor, home to the orcs, Gul'dan was already a pariah in his youth. Deeply obsessed with gaining power, secretly he decided to join forces with the Burning Legion, a destructive army from beyond the stars. He drank demon blood and altered the destiny of his people forever. Blood Gul'dan transformed into a hideous being dominated and twisted by demonic energy. He created, along with his lieutenants, the vile Shadow Council and tried to corrupt the many orc clans of Draenor to become agents of the Legion. His plan failed. A stranger from another time and place discovered his deception, and Horde free from demonic influences Hierro was formed. Gul'dan was accused of treason and imprisoned, and had no choice but to help the orcs to open the Dark Portal.
However, amid the chaos of war between the Horde Iron and champions of Azeroth, the witch fled and resumed his work for demons. After they destroyed the fort of their masters in Draenor, Gul'dan reached the Tomb of Sargeras, where he unleashed the power of the Burning Legion to Azeroth.
